Our Purpose
A Platform for Substantive Dialogue
The Institute for Corporate Counsel® (ICC) is a 501(c)(3) organization that presents an annual day-long institute focused on the intersection of law, business and politics. The ICC provides a platform for panelists and participants to better understand how Los Angeles's evolving business environment, as well as best practices and changes in the law, will impact business operations.
The annual institute is held at The California Club in Downtown Los Angeles.

How the ICC Is Governed
Board of Governors
The ICC's Board of Governors oversees the organization and guides the annual institute, including speaker selection and program topics.
Advisory Board
The Advisory Board provides valuable input regarding prospective speakers and topics, drawing on deep practitioner experience.
Emeriti Governors
Emeriti Governors serve as a source of historic perspective, reflecting the ICC's decades-long tradition of excellence.
Legacy
Dean Jerry Wiley Scholarship
In late 1997, the Institute's Board of Governors established the Institute for Corporate Counsel/Dean Jerry Wiley Scholarship by providing an endowment to fund student scholarships. Two scholarships are awarded each academic year to qualified law students who have demonstrated an interest in business law and high scholastic achievement in business law courses.
In 2015, the ICC's Board furthered their commitment to scholarships by donating an additional $25,000 to the Fund so more worthy students can benefit in future years.
